These have been working for me but they recently changed their packaging and went from being easy to push the tablet thru the back sine of the holding card to virtually impossible to open without pre-slitting with a knife.

Tried the small pack of these and just reordered the 32 size count. As an insomniac I swear by unisom, and alieve pm, but too much of either can be bad, which is why I like to mix it up. I like that I can just take one of these instead of 2 unisom liquid gels and 2 alieve pls which I take as well. These seem more potent then my alieve pm and or unisom. They work well just make sure you can get enough sleep. I've also had some really lucid dreams with this medication, but it could be the mixture and or sedative I take on occasion. Haven't used these nightly more like twice a week but they work!

These Nytol Nighttime Sleep Aid Quick Capsules contain diphenhydramine HCl, the same active ingredient in Benadryl, and are very effective for my family members when they have occasional insomnia.Diphenhydramine HCl is an antihistamine but it also has the added side effect of making many people drowsy. I say many people because some people, like me, do not get drowsy when taking it. So for me, it's not effective. Additionally, it has a stronger effect on some people than others so if you have to be up early the next day, don't take more than one capsule the first time you try it. One of my sons will sleep 14 hours after taking two. The suggested dosage is one or two capsules at bedtime for adults.These are capsules and they contain 25mg of diphenhydramine HCl as well as 70mg of calcium. Calcium can also promote drowsiness.My only issue with this product is the price. You get 16 capsules in the box for about $6. You can buy a big bottle of diphenhydramine HCl capsules (1000 caps) for about $19 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001UWNBRQ/. Take it with a small glass of milk and you've got the calcium, too, for a lot less. You can get a large bottle of this in tablet form for even less, although the tablets take a bit longer to work.This is a good product and a safe way to address occasional insomnia in many people, though, so I recommend it.
