Lovely presented box high quality made steel with beautiful handle that is comfortable in the hand found a definite improvement in sharpness of my knifes, compared to the steels I have been using which I picked up for less than £10,best to have the best kit then all you can blame is your sharpening skills ,this steel is a great buy which I think they say will last a lifetime at affordable price

Very sharp, could probably shave with it so please be careful, will review further once used a few of times to assess how long its edge lasts.

Looks and feels good quality. I got the 7" and the 6" would probably be more practical for fishing purposes. My fault.

This is a well made kitchen knife. It's chunky, solid and goes in the dishwasher. It's extremely sharp and does its job well. I recommend careful use if you want to avoid any accidents. I would buy it again, but I don't think I'll have to for a long time. It's so well made.

I have a small hand and this carving knife is sharp and easy to hold. It’s been my go to knife since I got it about a year ago. Still sharp. Wash by hand.Just bought the peeling knife today so am looking forward to it arriving!

I use it primarily for work cutting fruits and vegetables and it works wonderful. It has a nice weight that makes it easy to thwack a watermelon open. It’s easy to keep sharp and feels nice.

I have several high quality western style kitchen knives that I have used for years but have wanted to try a Japanese style knife. I do almost all of the cutting and chopping in my household andI bought this knife mainly to see how I would like the kiritsuke style. This was not an expensive knife and I figured I would not have lost much money if I was not happy with this style of knife. After using the knife about a dozen times I already have plans to upgrade to a more expensive kiritsuke knife and leave this one in my RV where I spend several months a year. This knife is an excellent value for the money and I am pleasantly surprised at the quality for such a reasonable price. Was sharp out of the box and seems to hold an edge fairly well. I recommend this knife, lot of value for the price.
